My Birthday: Pink Balloons, Braclets & Hydrangeas

I am feeling very loved at the moment, having just enjoyed a great low key birthday with my loved ones.  I was woken by sounds drifting up the stairs of loud whispers, cellotape stretching and balloons being blown into.

We spent a lovely day all together; I was taken out shopping and treated to some new clothes, then taken for lunch (with wine - very important), then more shopping until Gavin looked like he could'nt walk a step further, and then the kids and Grandma went home and Gavin and I continued into the night on a very small pub crawl (actually I dont think 2 pubs count as a pub crawl, but I am desperate to reclaim my youth!).

Then on Saturday I was out with the girls in the rather strange tiny nightclub Cellar Door in Covent garden that started out its life as a gents toilet. Partying with feather headresses in our hair alongside a transvestive dj, and a rather grumpy looking burlesque dancer - very good fun had by all (photos to follow, although I should think they won't be up to much!)

  1. I see you got 'The Stick' book. What is your opinion on it, I have seen it a couple of times in the book shop and wondered if it was worth getting?

    1. Hi Cordelia,
The book is beautiful, and full of lots of fun projects, I havent done any as yet (but that's not the books fault). It is mainly aimed at parents. But still a beautiful book to get you outside and creating fun things x
